What was your inspiration?
I'm always looking at what other people are creating, and I saw a screenprinted shirt with a stylized American flag with the stripes printed like bike chain. While the design itself was not possible to make from real bike chain, it made me think. The first flag I made was actually of CO.
What are you most proud of?
I'm proud of the way I made it all come together. There was a lot of trial and error, and I'm still working out the kinks. Each piece is OOAK simply because I keep experimenting.
What advice would you give someone starting this project?
This is a very tedious and time consuming project. The most important thing is to follow the directions on your resin! I cannot tell you how many of these I ruined at that stage...
