Materials

ONLY fabrics from my scrap bins!

What was your inspiration?

My dreams of course. And the new 'Free Form Quilting' book I recently got - LOVE the theory and method of this type of quilting...it was fun making a color wheel from it...

What are you most proud of?

The top and binding of this quilt is solely put together using fabrics from my scraps!

What advice would you give someone starting this project?

Don't try to finish it in less than a month...it can get a bit mind boggling :)

I have wanted to do a color wheel with scraps for my sewing room wall and you brought my dream to life. did you use a pinning wall? and did you do it in sections? just curious where to start something like this.

Wow, gives me ideas for all those scaps including the load of triangles in all sizes that I have in a large stash.

I have all my scraps organized by colors in bins. That helped a lot - I just pulled the 'red' bins or the 'yellow' bins and made those sections. It helped keep the chaos slightly out of my area as well ;) Have fun! Can't wait to see what you come up with!

That is absolutely astonishing! Now I know what to do with my scraps (but I doubt whether I shall make such a good job as you have)! Wonderful!

love the black/white/grays center - really sets off the colors even more. Gorgeous quilt, and thanks for the book recommendation!

Wowie, that looks like a lot of work. Beautiful. Nice photo outside when you colored only the quilt.
