Separated the Gale's Art fiber by color. Using the robin's egg blue sections ONLY with bits of purple at the end and grey-ish purple in the center. Then pulled it apart into vertical sections about 1/4 of an inch thick. Then pulled it apart again and took one piece starting with the blue to purple, and then layed the other piece from the purple to blue on top. Then added the DFF Merino/Silk in 1/8 in sections from light blue/white to brown on top of the other two pieces. I then spun a single ply yarn at a 45 degree angle. I tried to spin it at a lace or fingering weight but the yarn wanted to be a worsted-heavy worsted weight. So I let it do its' thing. ;)
I then washed and fulled it. Turned out fuzzy but interesting. I love it as the colors in my head were inspired by Tim Burton's Alice in Wonderland a la the Cheshire Cat. =D I think the yarn wanted to be Ches... fuzzy, slightly shiny and whimsical. I am curious to see how this knits/crochets up. I can envision some color pooling but not too much and at a distance I would think it would even out into a single shade. Very nice work on the spinning :D
