Share a little about the materials, processes and techniques used to create this piece. I used the colors from my standard palette, a little different from the suggested one. I had a bit more fun with this painting choosing the colors I enjoy and seeing things a bit differently in my drawing. I still had to bring back the highlights. I might try to use the ground you suggested to bring back the lights in my next painting, but I really am hoping to get it "right" first go round. A lot of glazing and washing to get the vision I had across.

Lisa -- this makes me feel very happy on this cold, wintry day. Very playful with the color (I'm a colorist, and it looks like you are, too). Great use of dry brush for the texture. You're ready to really start thinking about edges -- I'll look at the list of books and see which one has the most about them. Wonderful stuff!
