What was your inspiration?
Aprons always remind me of my grandmother and the happy times I spent in her kitchen. That may explain why have a passion for aprons and wear them whenever I'm cooking or cleaning. I also have never ending ideas for new designs. My old aprons are looking pretty shabby right now so I decided to make a new one.
What are you most proud of?
Several of my friends wanted to make an apron like this so I made this pattern & tutorial. That required making a a second apron so I could get photos. I also had to draw out the pattern and figure out how to get it onto a PDF file. It took a long time to put the tutorial together, but I loved the challenge.
What advice would you give someone starting this project?
Measure carefully! It's so easy to make the neck strap too long or too short. I cut it a bit too long on my second apron and then I had to take it apart, trim it, and redo the work.
