What was your inspiration?

I made this quilt for my dad, who is an avid sailor. I knew he would LOVE the Going Coastal line and wanted to make him a quilt from it. Then I saw the Scrappy Triangles block tutorial from Ashley of Film In the Fridge and knew it was perfect design to use!

More information on this quilt is blogged at http://freshlypieced.blogspot.com/2012/04/going-coastal-quilt-complete.html

Your blog is always an inspiration and this quilt is a perfect example of the clean lines you use in your projects. Very nicely done!

Love the way this came out, the colors are so bright and cheerful and versatile enough to match any decor. If you get tired of it, you could always send it my way! Haha, just kidding, but I think I would like to make one too!
