What was your inspiration?
I used some examples the client submitted and then adjusted to fit her needs. She needed a cake to feed 40-60 people and that would have been one huge purse!
What are you most proud of?
The hand painted detail was painstaking, but I think it turned out really well.
What advice would you give someone starting this project?
Take your time making the gum paste shoe, make all the pieces ahead of time and let them dry at least a week or so. It will make your life so much easier when constructing.
