Instructions

What do YOU call a clothespin bag like this one? I'd love to know, comment please! :)

Difficulty:

Category: Sewing

Type of item: Functional

For: Home

Style: Retro / Vintage, Outdoorsy, Traditional

Materials

Fabric, bias tape, reused children's size hanger

What was your inspiration?

My grandmother's clothespin bag! I improved just a little on the design, and added a second, larger size that I quickly realized bigger families need!

What are you most proud of?

This pattern means a lot to me, not only because it carries on a family tradition, but because I love my clothesline. Line drying is good for the environment, your energy bill, and makes clothes and bedding smell like fresh air!

What advice would you give someone starting this project?

Consider making your own bias tape, it's fun and easy to do.

Who wouldn't want to hang out their laundry with one of these bright clothespin holders? I used to hang some of my clothes and linens on the line...until my neighbors dog kept running over and pulling them down and chewing them up. :(

I call mine a peg bag. I need a new one as mine is now old and faded; I'd also like to make my Mum one as well. Cute pattern:-)
