Materials
Gortex and ; can be made with ANY material. I used a 9" by 5" waterproof material (waterproofing not required:). 4 - 6" of ribbon or cording (or recycled dog leashes); and less than 10" of 1/4" elastic.
What was your inspiration?
Two months ago I lost our $20.00 doggie pickup bag holder - one which you could latch onto a belt loop for a walk. After contemplating buying another - I simply decided to make one! Here is a tutorial I designed after making about five-seven samples. I think you will like it and the materials should just cost a few dollars, or free if you recycle all!
What are you most proud of?
How easy it was to make a product so that I remember by doggie bags - and one of much better quality than what I lost!
What advice would you give someone starting this project?
Have fun - I went through five samples before I found the right combination.
This project seriously takes only 15 minutes to 30 minutes to complete. Hang in there and email me if you get stuck!
