What are you most proud of? I am so proud that even though I made a big mistake in copying my pattern I did not quit. I got all the way to attaching the collar before I realized there was a problem. I tossed that shirt got more fabric, traced the right lines, and completed the shirt. I can't wait to make another one,

What advice would you give someone starting this project? I am terrible about not listening completely before I start. Pam Howard did a wonderful job at explaining what we were doing and telling you what problems you may run in to. Toward the end my husband suggested that I listen to the video lesson first all the way through then go back and sew with it.. I found I did much better doing it that way.

Hi, You've done a beautiful job on your first tailored shirt! I'm so glad that you didn't give up, that even though you tossed your original one, you went back to get more fabric to try again. You will be an inspiration to others. Your granddaughters are so lucky to have you make custom shirts for them. Thanks so much for posting your picture :-)) Pam

Pam, does your course cover altering for large bosom? I think I can manage the other alterations I will need but my mind can't see how to take a flat piece of fabric and fit it around my bosom. Also my shoulders and neckline are slimmer than normal so there's lots of fitting to be done. The pattern is probably designed for a B cup but I'm a D cup.

Thanks for the inspiration. I had given up on the idea of ever wearing shirts because I have so many fitting issues but if you can do it maybe I can too. I put the course on my wishlist.

Hi carroled, My course covers many, many construction details, but I did not cover the many and varied alterations issues. I do recommend some books for class members to refer to for their own personal fit challenges. I invite you to take my class and also refer to the many tutorials on youtube to get the answers you seek. I hope to see you in class! Thanks so much, Pam
