Instructions

I just worked with a basic A-line skirt I had on hand. I raised the waist, added a waistband, turned the slit into a vent, and then tried it on and pinned it until it was narrow enought to look good, but still wide enough to be able to walk and sit in it. I lined it in China silk & bound the hem with bias strips of it. I made tacks by hand to tack the lining to the skirt at the side seams.

What was your inspiration?

I had some vintage fabric and matching yarn. I wanted a vintage look, and found the perfect sweater, and just needed a skirt to match.

The skirt fit and looks fabulous, even without a real pattern.
