This project was made as part of a Craftsy course:
Shuttle Tatting »

Instructions

My thread was thinner so I increased the number of repeats to make the length

Difficulty:

Category: Jewelry

Type of item: Accessory

For: Women

Style: Romantic, Classic

Materials

Unfortunately I did not have enough No 10 thread so I used one of my favourite threads Altin Basak (Turkish) no 3054

What was your inspiration?

I really liked this pattern and I am making another one and may make a few more for the show I am demonstrating tatting in on the 19th August

What advice would you give someone starting this project?

Take your time and don't rush any pattern, read the pattern first and then think about what colour and thread you want to use before winding the shuttles.

Try doing the chains first and then when you have mastered them, try adding the flowers they are not difficult but the picots need to be similar in size all the way around the flower, then do another adding in the beads, you will get there practice makes perfect. Margaret

I am sure that you will enjoy making this bracelet once you have mastered the rings and chains, it's not difficult to make even if you do it first without the beads.,

I use a lot of variegated thread, even if I tatted this bracelet again in the same thread it would look different, that's what I like about the variegated thread. Margaret

Thanks for showing your work, because it is hard to visualize what a piece will look like in varigated thread. It is lovely!
