This is a great workshop and super fun project, Previous felting experience is not required but is helpful. You will need wool roving and a hat block. A finishing sander speeds up the process as well but isn't required. Have fun - the finished hat it awesome and can be made in just about any style depending on your choice of colors and embellishments.Difficulty:

Materials
Merino wool roving, up-cycled and re-purposed vintage lace and fabric from a shirt, hat block, finishing sander, bubble wrap, soap, water.
What was your inspiration?
I was looking for a new way to make felt hats and this workshop was just the ticket. I love feeling and seeing the wool take shape from a flat piece to the shape of the hat block.
What are you most proud of?
That with a little instruction I am able to create such a beautiful finished product. I sell TONS of these!
What advice would you give someone starting this project?
If you are wondering if you can do it - you can! It takes time but the whole process from start to finish is so much fun. The workshop is geared toward those with no experience felting and those who are already skilled. Just jump in and give it a go.
