What materials did you use? Deborah Norville Serenity (sport weight), US 6 needles.

What are you most proud of? That I stepped outside the box a bit to see what happens when I experiment! I'm usually a follow-every-instruction-to-the-letter kind of knitter, so this was a fun "stretch" for me. I was worried that the yarn weight and colors would not play nice with the knitted pattern, and that the sport weight would make too bulky a shawl. I decided to use larger needles to open it up a bit, and will probably do an "extreme blocking" to make the knitted stitches pop. I'll also wear it over black, so the lace isn't lost.

What advice would you give someone starting this project? I printed the triangle pattern at 110% on my computer printer, then cut it out. I taped small post-its together to mark my progress, and added the center section to the post-its so I could see everything at once. Works great, and is easy to carry around in my knitting bag.
