What materials did you use? Dress 1: Plum colored taffeta, 100% cotton twill, silk quilted back, spiral steel boning, hand made piping. Dress 2: Duck egg blue faux silk, hand cut gold lace, hand made piping, vintage style ribbon work.Heavy twill lining, silk quilted back panels, spiral steel bones. Dress 3: Lilac and royal blue taffeta, 100% twill lining, vintage style ribbon work headpieces.

What are you most proud of? The beautiful fit, smoothness of the fabric and sharpness of the front (and back) points.

What advice would you give someone starting this project? Take your time, measure, measure, measure, watch those grain lines, take the time to hand baste and pin carefully.

Just FYI, I made the blue and the lilac dress as rental's for dancers in Nutcracker, reenactor etc.A dress like this would be very costly because of the work and the fabric but I figured people could afford a rental fee.
