Thank you . No I still have a hard time with the no iron method. I think I will try it on one that doesn't have as many small pieces.

Were these your own fabrics? I love them. I'm torn between trying to do something suitable for the time period and just a fabric that I like. Any suggestions for a color, size of motif, etc. I am not well versed at all in this area of time for quilting. My stuff is more current fabric

yes these are from my stash. I figured I could find enough that looked like it would have been used during that era. Mostly calicoes.

Ooooh - pretty in red! Did you try the no iron technique to do these blocks? I've tried it twice & haven't been entirely sure about it -
