Circularity - machine appliqued circles
Circularity quilting detail
What materials did you use?
Cotton batik fabric, cotton batting
While flying over the midwest in the early summer, I was fascinated by the circles formed in the farmlands by the circular watering systems. I began experimenting with non woven interfacing sewn in a circle to the wrong side of fabric, cutting a slit in the interfacing and turning the circle right side out to make a turned edge. I then machine appliqued the circles to square blocks. This quilt is 40 inches by 54 inches.
