Materials

Bernina circular embroidery attachment, stabilizer, batiks and lots of thread!

What was your inspiration?

A member of my quilt bee thought we should learn more about our machines - all Berninas - so we picked a few new feet to learn how to use it. We have started with the circular embroidery attachment and I got started and also found that Libby Lehmann had a class on this attachment as well. Lots of fun and uses.

What are you most proud of?

that I made so many and that I enjoyed how it worked.

What advice would you give someone starting this project?

Make sure you use heavy duty stabilizer or 2 sheets of the Ricky Tims stabilizer -

Personally, go to the Libby Lehmann's video and download it and use it along with the attachment. She has lots of tips. Take your time and be creative with your machine.

BIG NOTE: If you have a machine that has embroidery that moves up, down, left and right (multidirectional) stitching does not work with this attachment. But others with different threads are great and surprising.

WOW! I have found that I am drawn to circles lately. I have been experimenting with the fancy stitches but the applique batik fabrics take it to another level! Beautiful....
