Instructions

Using the Easy Circle Cut made cutting super easy!

Difficulty:

Category: Quilting

Type of item: Functional

For: Home

Style: Cute, Funky, Casual, Mod

Materials

Erin McMorris "Weekend" fabric line, quilt batting, embroidery floss

What was your inspiration?

This was my first quilt and I was inspired by the fabric and the pattern! It all came together easily.

What are you most proud of?

I made this for the wedding of my youngest daughter. This was my first machine quilting attempt and while the quilting is just simple straight lines I love the way they look.

What advice would you give someone starting this project?

If you can sew you can quilt!

This is the circle quilt I'm going to make. I'm using "Just Desserts" from Connecting Threads.

I agree it is really pretty but I am a beginner (have been for a long time) but it looks hard to mel Nice color combination!

The fabrics were all from the same collection so the color combination was easy. The quilt is just raw edge applique circles cut using an Easy Cut tool. You just fold your fabric in half, lay the tool on it and cut the size you need. The directions for the quilt made it super easy - trust me!

This is really pretty! Fantastic job especially considering it was your 1st. I'm a newbie also and my 1st quilt looked nothing like this. A lot of little mistakes were made. Suzanne

Thanks Suzanne! I made many mistakes on this quilt also. I still have much to learn.
