This project was made as part of a Craftsy course:
Artisan Bread Making »

Instructions

Ciabatta dough is supposed to be wetter than other kinds of Artisian breads. I think mine was a little too wet but it still came out great. And although it doesn't have a great deal of large holes inside, it has some, the taste is fantastic.

Flour, salt, yeast, water!

What was your inspiration?

I have always wanted to bake bread, but somehow it never came out right. I have lots of books, but I never felt I was doing it correctly. I believe that our teacher, Peter Reinhart and his wonderful way of teaching has gotten me this far. I guess I am someone that needs to SEE what is going on, in order to make bread. I have never made bread where someone was there to show me how it should really look and feel like. These video lessons are really that close to the having someone in the kitchen with me!

What are you most proud of?

That I actually was able to make something this close to the real thing and it tastes great!

What advice would you give someone starting this project?

To give it a chance and try it. You can actually do it.
