Action photos! I finished this shawl on the way to NYC for the Vogue Knitting show. I wore it unblocked the first day, and then blocked it overnight in the hotel room. I soaked it in the bathroom sink for about half an hour, and rolled it in a towel to wring out. The poor cleaning staff must have been puzzled by all the overdye that came off on that towel - I hope it came out in the wash! I didn't have mats or pins, but I used some pants hangers to hang it to dry. It dried in about 6 hours! I'm very pleased with how it turned out, even with such a 'casual' block.

Looks like something I would try! I'm in Sydney, AU visiting my daughter and have seriously considered washing/blocking 2 wraps I brought along. With this heat I'm thinking about laying them on the grass to dry. If I can make some time to sit & knit with them I might give it a try. Love your blocking class - the details beyond the basics are very much appreciated.
