What was your inspiration?
I saw someone at my clinic with an extremely elegant asymmetric chunky necklace and absolutely loved it. The first attempt to come up with my version of it got such a good reception that I made quite a few more for pending holiday season. These are the ones I still wear myself.
What are you most proud of?
It is nice to have flattering comments on something that you're just playing with without any direction. I sit down with my beads and play with them like a small child - hours pass in a very relaxed fashion. It is so nice to do things like these, isn't it?
What advice would you give someone starting this project?
Get a good board to line up your beads on to work with the balance, and don't hesitate to bring in elements you'd "never" use. Also, don't bother using your better beads for the full length, the last 2-3 inches in the back can just be a way to use your leftovers as fillers. If your beads are heavy, use a basic clasp to avoid the finished product digging into your neck
