Hi there! I'm hoping you can help me with a question I have regarding this baby blanket pattern. I've started knitting & pulled out to the beginning so many times now (5 rows one time!) I'm having an issue w/ the cable section where you have to "slip 3 stitches knitwise"- to the front or back, then knit them. I'll slip them knitwise, then when I try to knit them it's so hard, if not impossible at times, to get my needle into them to knit! It just doesn't feel right either. I've tried to search for video of knitting into a knitwise slipped stitch, but I haven't been able to find anything! All the patterns I've found (or threads with questions regarding whether to slip knit or purlwise- calls for slipping purlwise only unless otherwise stated in pattern. And all of the cable patterns call for purlwise slipping. Sorry for such a long comment :/ So my questions are: why slip knitwise here, was it hard for you too and can I just slip purlwise w/out affecting the pattern? Thanks, Danette

Hi, is been awhile since I did this project but I went back and looked closely at it, and I think I just did the cables in the traditional way. Slipping knitwise would give a twisted stitch and mine look like regular cables. I hope this helps. :-) If not, please feel free to write again.
