What was your inspiration?

It all started with wanting to make a bookend for a child's room. The largest owl works perfect for this when stuffed with a heavier material (I used popcorn kernels).

Then I started making other sizes and before I knew it I had this sweet little chubby owl family!!

Thank you, Thank you. I have been looking for something to use as a bottom weight for my toys and have tried many but POPCORN KERNELS, I never would have thought of that. How talented and clevery you are. PS I love these owls.

Thanks so much for your kind words! I'm so glad that I was able to help you out! I also was struggling with what to use on some of my previous projects. I planned to use beanbag filler but a small bag of it cost $16. Eeeeek!!! No thank-you! Thus the idea of popcorn kernels was born.
