I wanted something cute and practical to carry change

What are you most proud of?

making the pattern up myself and not being scared of metal frames or paper piecing

What advice would you give someone starting this project?

don't be scared of purse frames!

I think I'll try it. I have purse frames already for beaded projects and will be able to use one. I'm busy with work now so I might not get to put the purse altogether right now but I'll purchase your workshop now and when I do finish the purse or have questions I'll let you know. I would like to take your hexagon coin purse workshop - I don't have a sewing machine but can sew well by hand - can I take this class? Lisa

hi Lisa, we do the hexies by hand but sew them to the body and then do everything else by machine. it's a lot of layers to sew through with the interfacing we use. maybe if you trim the interfacing so it doesn't reach the seams, reducing the bulk, it would be doable. I'd hate to say yes and have you be disappointed, especially since I haven't tried it.
