Make It
This project was made from an independent Craftsy designer's pattern:
Wreath Mini-Quilt - Paper Pieced »
Instructions
Had a small problem with one part of the pattern. Had to make reverse template for A's because I could not get them going the right way when I tried to assemble two of the outside wreath corners. Really fun to make and had a great time adding beads and such. Will make this again soon! Used different greens in many of the parts which gives it real depth and made it more fun, in my mind anyway.Difficulty:
Category: Quilting
Type of item: Home Decor
For: Home
Style: Traditional, Holiday
Materials
Cotton with low loft poly batting. Mostly scraps and thing I had on hand. Bought blues though.
What was your inspiration?
Was looking for something to get the holiday spirt going and when I saw this pattern I just knew this was the one. Really quick and easy to make for this year's table. Listened to xmas music and just embellished my heart out. Great fun.
What are you most proud of?
That I was able to figure out what I needed to do to complete this project. Had to reverse two A sets to make it work. Adding beading and fun stuff to really make it my own. Using different fabrics and values of green throuout the project to give it more movement and depth.
What advice would you give someone starting this project?
Have fun! This is an easy and quick project that you can really have a great time with and have finished for this year's table, wall or where ever you need some holiday punch.
