What was your inspiration?
I saw a pattern in American Quilting Quilting for Christmas 2012 issue of a pillow cover with cardinals on a black background. I made the pattern but as a wall hanging and used a bright blue snowflake design background.
What are you most proud of?
It is bright and just says celebration. Anything cardinal is always a hit at bazaar.
What advice would you give someone starting this project?
This was a quick to make applique. Sometimes simple is very striking. Have fun and don't be afraid to change colors or use of a commercial design.
