I just love how happy it is.

What advice would you give someone starting this project?

Gauge Lesson: This was the first of the three Christmas sweaters that I knit. Having knit with Cascade 220 many, MANY times, I slacked and didn't do a gauge swatch.

Well, turns out the colorwork loosened up my gauge considerably and therefore the sweater turned out much larger! I noticed this towards the beginning, but decided to proceed because this way when my son outgrows his sweater from this year (and hopefully next) he'll have another to step right into.

So, biggest lesson from this project is that when you swatch, do it WITH your colorwork/motif and also BLOCK your swatch before measuring!
