What was your inspiration?

Christmas Stockings are for my grandson Felix and his yet to be born sibling (hence Sibil's stocking!). Sibil is due shortly after Christmas but I am covering all bases. I will embroider names later. Need something to do on a 15 hour flight to the US.

the facing is one of the four pieces cut from primary fabric, right? I could be the same as the heel and toe though right?

Hi tomb. The facing is the lining of the boot and yes I did use piping around the heel toe and cuff. I sewed the piping on after I had sewn on the contrasting materially and applied it to the cuff after I had sewn on the facing. Enjoy.

I'm trying to make these stockings and it has been a long time since I've followed a pattern. I'm confused when they talk about the 'facing" what are they talking about. Did you use piping around toe and heel and cuff?

Thanks Mimi. Wasn't sure about the fabric for the stripe stocking but very pleased now that they are both together
