Purchased the kit, Christmas Stardust, plus hot fix crystals
What was your inspiration?
My youngest son is in the Army, stationed in Alaska and lives in a very small apartment. I wanted him to have a Christmas tree and when I saw this kit, I knew I'd found his tree.
What are you most proud of?
That it turned out *almost* as good as the picture in the kit! I'm a visual learner and the instructions have no illustrations. I had to read, reread and contemplate. It's a bargello style, quilt as you go pattern, which made the total time invested in creating this wall hanging (including hot fixing the crystals) about 8 hours.
What advice would you give someone starting this project?
Cut carefully, sew those 1/4" seams even more carefully!
