Thank you, Chantal. Yes, the feathers are all freehand. I've been teaching feathers for years; you wouldn't believe how easy they are!

Yes, Wendy, they are. I loved piped quilts, and make my piping using Susan Cleveland's Piping Hot Binding tool. It's a slick little gizmo that allows you to quickly and easily create perfect little tiny piping strips. I love it!

Freehand feathers? Really! They are amazing. I tried feather fill work recently and it was kindergarten stuff compared to this. I am very impressed.
