Christmas Quilt

Learn It

This project was made as part of a Craftsy course:
Craftsy Block of the Month 2012 »

Type of item: Home Decor

What was your inspiration?

My daughter.

What are you most proud of?

That I have gotten this far without giving up. I do not like Hexagons, though, and if I never have
to make another one I will be happy...

What advice would you give someone starting this project?

Just enjoy it...do your best, and don' be disappointed with the results. Just be proud that you tried
if it is your early quilting effort.

I really wanted to get creative, but it got out of hand with the hexies on top of hexies, it just looked so plain without layering. Thanks for your encouragement and kind words. I have checked out all of your blocks and they are all different and beautiful, which I have been told makes quilting so much fun. We all have different ideas and methods.

I really like how you spaced your hexagons for the tree. I didn't think of doing that. I wish I had.

I think your blocks are terrific - your Christmas theme is well done. I am not liking these hexagons either but will stick at it like you.

I love your blocks. Good for you as you did do 'a whole lot of hexies.' I must agree that they are all looking very Christmas-y. I think that I will have to start another one with my Christmas fabric stash.
