What materials did you use? Soft worsted weight yarn, in 6 oz. (170 g) skeins - Blue (7), Green (4), White (1), Red (2), Black (1), Yellow (1); and a size I (5.5 mm) crochet hook.
What are you most proud of? I'm really happy with the way the colors worked together to create this design! The afghan is a good solid afghan to keep you warm on a cold winter night!
What advice would you give someone starting this project? This is not as complicated as it looks! The reversible design is achieved by alternating rows of blue with green, white, red, black and yellow, using a combination of sc and long hdc which are worked into the previous row. The long hdc are worked with the main color on even rows and the contrasting colors on odd rows creating the reversible effect. The main color rows are woven in at the ends, and a length of yarn is left at each end on all the contrasting color rows to be incorporated into the fringe. A design graph is also included with the pattern. When working the solid blue section, be sure to follow the instructions carefully to achieve the texture of the pattern. The finished afghan size is 47" wide x 67-1/2" long (not including fringe). This pattern is available for $4.00 and is written in U.S. terms.
