blueheron61...I visited your blog....and will go back when it is not so late and my eyes are getting blurry....I did see that you will be in Columbus OH in April...what fun...I will not be where you are, but I am going "back home' in April also. I will visiting the Int'l Quilt Festival in Cincinnati too. Love those shows...I went to the Houston one 2x now....but get too too many ideas--like I need any more...yet here I am signed up now for the BOM 2013... at least it is a 'free' commitment. LOL

wonderful...I love to see that some (not myself) really DO finish something that they started....I read your comment below about breaking last years resolution to not buy more fabric.....WOW that would be a very very hard one to even try to keep. I failed that too.

I've had that *no new fabric* resolution for many years now - until this year. I'm not going to set myself up for failure again, as it's a resolution I know I'll never be able to keep. I made a nice list of "goals" or desires this year instead of resolutions, and posted them on my blog for accountability. www.blueherondolls.blogspot.com We'll se if that goes any better ;-)

I REALLY REALLY want to finish the other four quilts I'm working on. Seems a bit daunting at this point. PLUS, I blew last year's Resolution to NOT buy any more fabric, but I just couldn't help it - there are so many wonderful collections out there!

Lovely placemats, it's a great way to use up some left over fabrics. Thanks for sharing.

These look beautiful Blue! Wondering if I should join you on this class. I purchased quilting quickly 2, but not 1.

I though the class was really worth the price, especially since I'm really new to quilting.

I really liked class #1, so I am going to get her #2. Plus she is a really good teacher.

It's a really great class. My next project will be finishing a fencerail quilt from either Quilting Quickly 1 or 2 - I can't remember which one off the top of my head. I'm almost there!

Thanks! I learned how to cut the charms in quarters and assemble them. I thought the small size of the placemats would make it a perfect project to experiment with free-motion embroidery.
