What materials did you use? Cotton fabric from the Robert Kaufman line "Christmas in Kyoto"

What are you most proud of? Getting the fabric to match as well as I did where the corners meet. It's not perfect, but I am OK with it.

What advice would you give someone starting this project? The paper piecing was fun and easy, just make sure you have the pattern turned the right way. The hard part for me was getting consistent quarter-inch seams when I sewed the parts together (each block has eight parts + the corners) so that everything would match when the rows were sewn together.

Beautiful color scheme and I love the focus fabric in the stars.

I see you made this as part of the Quick Strip Paper Piecing class. I love the precision of paper piecing, but I hate how much fabric seems to be wasted. Does the class address that and/or give you any tips to reduce the waste?
