Christmas cards

Pattern Info

Instructions

Working with metallic thread is very tiring on the eye due to the reflection from light (natural or electric) on the thread. Sewing the motives onto card took me a while due to the difficulty of threading needle, as thread kept fraying, so I must buy a bigger needle. Motives can also be glued on card, but I thought sewing them on gave. a neater look.

What was your inspiration?

Christmas!

What are you most proud of?

Making my own cards from scratch.

What advice would you give someone starting this project?

If you are using metallic thread, it is better in natural light. You might need breaks to give your eyes a rest from the glare of the thread. Try sewing motives on card rather than sticking them, but use a bit sewing needle, as thread tends to fray.
