What are you most proud of? Just wanted to show a close up of the smocking and bullion roses on the chreistening gown.

Exquisite! You are a very talented artisan and I love seeing your posts. I know from personal experience that the making of a Christening Gown is a cherished project.

Thank you Ipanema. Yes it is a cherished project. I have 5 grandchildren and have been privileged to make each one their own christening gown.

I live in Australia so I use the Smocking and Embroidery magazines which also have the patterns in them. They are not producing them anymore but maybe a smocking group or a craft shop would have them. I think the country bumpkin website may still have some also. The A-Z series are great too. I use the smocking one, the sewing for smocking and also the bullion stitch one.
