Is this your project? Can you share instructions or a pattern with the Craftsy community?

Difficulty:

Category: Quilting

Type of item: Home Decor

For: Home

Style: Classic

Materials

A selection of coordinated fabrics.

What was your inspiration?

My inspiration for this quilt was a class given by Ann Peterson, "Beyond Basic Machine Quilting". I wanted to practice the free motion stitches and techniques which Ann taught but didn't want to make the sampler which she gave us. Ann is a wonderful teacher who is passionate about her work.

What are you most proud of?

I am proud of the fact that the quilt hangs nicely as it is the first time that I have blocked a quilt - a procedure which Ann teaches in the tutorial.

What advice would you give someone starting this project?

This or any other quilt project - decide what you want to stitch on the surface of your quilt, equip yourself with gloves and supreme slider and go for it!

Carolyn, this is gorgeous! I also took Ann Peterson's course but did not make the sampler. (Loved the course!). However I was planning on using her techniques on two quilts I have. Your quilt is giving me he confidence that maybe I won't mess them up! Your quilt is simply fantastic....quilting is top of he line! And I love all of the white space. Thanks for sharing this.
