What was your inspiration?
My son (pictured) wanted a cushion made for his bedroom. He loves LEGO so we designed it around one of his favourite LEGO men 'Sam Sinister'. I enlarged the LEGO man by 7 times to make it the right size for the project and then carefully built up the layers to create the final picture.
It is all appliqued except the camels; I got inspiration for them from a Google picture. I loved doing this project and it was extra special as it was made for my youngest boy.
What are you most proud of?
Strangely, the bit I love the most is the camels, they look so effective and really bring the whole picture together.
What advice would you give someone starting this project?
Have fun! There was no set pattern, just an idea in my head which was added to by my son.
