What was your inspiration?
I saw a block I wanted to copy, and was working on quilts for Christmas, and my sister in law is a KC Chiefs fan, and I found the Chiefs fabric... need I say more? LOL LOL
What are you most proud of?
The color comgination turned out well, and the detail of the skulls and fire really complemented the Chiefs colors [Red and gold, with a touch of white]. I quilted, and made a few accent embroidery details with multi-colored thread, to give it a bit more added detail.
What advice would you give someone starting this project?
Just cut and sew carefully to make sure all the points match up - that was a challenge for me. My quilt is not perfect - don't look too closely! But I still think it turned out good. I just had fun making this, knowing my sisinlaw was going to go bonkers over it.
