Do you sell this cake? No, just for fun

Share a little about the materials, processes and techniques used to create this cake: Used the Wax Paper Transfer Method to apply the decorations on the side of the cake. For the chevron pattern I cut my own template by following the instructions here The design was inspired by the Thank you Cards used at the party and all templates I made myself from it. One of the most valuable things learnt in the class was the use of Crisco to attach the decorations. In fact, my first attempt at attaching the ribbon and chevron was a failure and I had to take them all off. Having used the Crisco there was no damage to the fondant! Had I used regular water/sugar water to attach the decorations I would have to get rid of the fondant and start from scratch ( or get into the fetal position and cry myself to sleep :s ) Another cool technique was the upside down method to get straight edges. It looks easy but it is tricky and I still need to practice it A LOT!

What advice would you give someone starting this project? Keep on trying and practicing!
