Wanted to make a special Christmas Cake for our host.

The effect and the taste fresh cherries added to the cake.
What advice would you give someone starting this project?
I tried to make the ruffles as in the lesson, but failed. The result was large log like swirls which looked equally good. Keep trying the ruffles as i am going to, and one day it will be a success.
