What was your inspiration?
Curiosity. I am fascinated by bargello quilts and wanted to see what would happen if I used the same strip set , the same fabrics in the same order in the strip set, in two different bargello patterns. This is the same strip set that I used in my Oriental Splendor bargello quilt.
What are you most proud of?
This is my second original bargello design.
What advice would you give someone starting this project?
I used Electric Quilt software to help me decide which quilt choice to fabricate from the strip set. There are 24 colors in the strip set, so there are 24 choices if the colors go from top to bottom, and a second 24 colors if you reverse the strip set on the cutting mat and the colors go from bottom to top. Choice one would have fabric one in the upper left hand corner, choice two would have fabric 2 in the upper left hand corner, etc...
