Materials

Decadent chocolate cake; Chocolate ganache; Fondant covering; Gum paste/ plastic icing with tylose; Clickstix square cutter for roof tiles; Tiny heart cutter for petals of small roses; Wood grain impression mat for wooden detail; Toothpicks, skewers/ wires for inside figurines; Dresden/ veining tool; Craft gun for hair; Royal icing for sticking some parts of figurines; to ensure it is secure Edible glue ( tylose with water) for other adhesions; Edible ink marker for eye pupils; A very sharp knife: exacto, or the Wusthof silver point paring knife ( my favourite); About 8 hours of free time to work on this cake!

What advice would you give someone starting this project?

Be patient, take your time and allow items to dry thoroughly before expecting them to hold.
