What was your inspiration?
This idea has been roaming around in my brain for a while. I have always loved checkerboard patterns. I also love making pictures out of yarn. Tunisian is a great technique to do that.
Also, I wanted a nice thick pair of gloves to keep me warm this winter. And so far they are doing the job beautifully.
What are you most proud of?
That they turned out so well, but are practical too.
What advice would you give someone starting this project?
If you don't know how to do Tunisian yet, give it a try. There are many great videos on You Tube that demonstrate this technique.
And, these gloves can be made even if you don't have any Tunisian hooks or the right sized Tunisian hooks. You just need regular, straight crochet hooks.
