Three different dog-related fabrics and a coordinating plaid. I adapted the pattern from a dog bed project.
What was your inspiration?
My black Mini Schnauzer Charlie needed a blanket. Jake, my grey Mini Schnauzer, wouldn't share his. So I made a special one for Charlie.
What are you most proud of?
I'm proud that I was able to adapt the pattern from a dog bed to a flat quilt. I'm also glad that the fabrics I bought a couple of years ago on a whim worked out for this project - that I had enough, that I could fussy cut the corner blocks. and that they all worked together so well.
What advice would you give someone starting this project?
Be bold and don't be afraid to deviate from a pattern. You are clever and can make it work!
