Type of item: Home Decor

For: Women

Style: Whimsical, Retro / Vintage, Funky, Casual

Materials

I used a mixture of Red Heart yarn and I Love This Yarn from Hobby Lobby in 18 different colors

What was your inspiration?

I had purchased this pattern a few months ago and my granddaughter, Charissa, saw it and loved it so I made this for her. Its full bed size and has 18 different colors in it besides black.

What are you most proud of?

I completed this afghan in a little under 2 weeks. I thought it would be hard to sew together but it fit perfectly together like a puzzle. I will be making more of these! You can find the pattern here

What advice would you give someone starting this project?

The pattern says to use an I hook. I used an H hook and the center pieces seem to not lie as flat as they should. Next time I will use the I hook. Also, lay your sections out on a spare bed as you finish them. This was you can see if you are repeating a color or color combo too often

Finished in two weeks?! Incredible! You must be a super-speedy crocheter, Lynn. I love your color combos. My daughter would also love this pattern, so I am going to check out the pattern right away. Beautiful piece!
