What advice would you give someone starting this project?

I had three matched skeins of MT Vintage and two from a Ravelry purchase which were much lighter so I did the body in the darker yarn, the sleeves in the lighter, and then alternated skeins for the yoke. Theres a slight striping effect, but no one has noticed so far without me pointing it out. I was bothered by it while I was knitting, but now I dont mind.
