What was your inspiration?

Had some scrap chalkboard fabric and a better way to keep a running list of things I was out of or low on.

What advice would you give someone starting this project?

Use a fresh needle. the vinyl, chalboard, cotton and seam binding make for a thick palette. Might use a heavier needle/walking foot. If you don't have a teflon foot then put a peice of scotch tape on the bottom of your presser foot when sewing the vinyl. Keeps it from sticking.
