Artistic Wire - 18 gauge the following colors: Dark Blue (2 Spools) Black (1 Spool) Kelly Green (2 spools) Red (1 spool) Silver (1 spool) Brown (1 spool) Hand Drill 4mm Mandrel Flex Shaft with Jump Ring Maker attachment Bur Life wax Round Nose pliers Flat Nose Pliers Inkscape (to plan out pattern).

What was your inspiration?

I really enjoy the look of chainmaille and wanted to make it. I heard about a cool looking drawstring dice bag seen and wanted to see what it'd be like to make.

Unfortunately - I didn't have the wire to this in one color. Purchasing additional wire for a prototype seemed unreasonable. So, I decided to make a design. Using Inkscape, I created a sort of design/template and assembled the bag by following the inscape design.

The idea of a mushroom was inspired by the thought that the green reminded me of mario brothers. The letter K came because I ran out of ideas and wanted to leave my mark - which is the first letter of my name (K).

What are you most proud of?

The mushroom. I really like that it looks like a mushroom. The bag is pretty sweet too. But I need to replace the drawstring with some leather; which I've got.

What advice would you give someone starting this project?

Don't do this unless you really really want to and if you do - you'll benefit from buying the jump rings instead of trying to make your own. Oh and you can probably get away with using a thinner gauge of wire. I used 18 gauge because that's my favorite gauge to work with. I think.
